Indications

• Hirudoid Cream+Gel

  Composition: 100 g of cream contains:
  Pharmaceutically active ingredient:
  Mucopolysacharide, Polysulfuric acid ester 300mg, (Organo-Heparinoid "Luitpold") corr. to 25000 U*
  *Units determined by means of the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT)

• Indications

  - Superficial phlebitis and venous thrombosis
  - Inflammation of varices
  - Treatment after varicosclerosation
  - Hematoma, swellings
  - Loosening of hard scars
  - Improvement of scar formation after injuries, burns, operations, etc

• Contra-indicatios

  When should Hirudoid cream not be used?
  Do not use Hirudoid cream if you are hyper-sensitive to on of its ingredients.
  What should you consider during pregnancy and lactation?
  There are no objections to the administration during pregnancy and lactation.

• How should you use Hirudoid cream?

  How much Hirudoid cream should you use and how often should you apply it?
  Apply Hirudoid cream once or twice daily, if necessary you may use it more often. Depending on size of the area to be treated, a lenght of 3-5 cm of cream is usually sufficient.
  How should you use Hirudoid cream?
  Apply the cream evenly to the affected area and, if possible, massage it gently into the skin until the cream has vanished. apply Hirudoid cream only to intact skin. Avoid contact to injured skin, the eyes or mucous membrances.
  For extremely painful inflammations spread a thick layer of Hirudoid cream carefully on the affected area and its surrounding and cover it with gauze. In these cases, the cream must not be rubbed or even massaged into the skin.
  To loosen hard scars, it is advisable to massage the cream vigorously in. Hirudoid cream is not be taken by mouth!

    How should you store Hirudoid cream?
